Itinerary
Day01/05
Day 01USHUAIA - Embarkation
Upon boarding, we'll raise a glass to welcome you and introduce the Captain and crew. The journey begins right away as the ship sets sail southward, navigating the legendary Beagle Channel and the Strait of Magellan. We'll continue our voyage through Patagonia, exploring the intricate channels of Tierra del Fuego.
Day 02Cape Horn - Wulaia Bay
Today we’ll navigate through the Murray Channel and Nassau Bay, reaching Cape Horn National Park. Weather permitting, we’ll disembark to explore one of the southernmost points on Earth, immersed in its unique beauty and rich legends. In the afternoon, we’ll make a stop at Wulaia Bay, a historic site once home to one of the largest Yagan canoeist settlements. A scenic walk through the Magellanic forest will take us to a viewpoint, where we’ll discover a diverse range of native plants, including lengas, coigües, canelos, and ferns.
Day 03Pia Glacier – Porter Glacier
In the morning, we’ll cruise along the northwest arm of the Beagle Channel, entering the Pia Fjord where we’ll disembark. From there, we’ll hike to a viewpoint offering stunning views of the Pia Glacier, whose main peak stretches from the mountain range all the way down to the sea. In the afternoon, we’ll take our Zodiac boats, navigating through towering rocky cliffs to reach the majestic Porter Glacier.- Day 04
Agostini Sound – Aguila Glacier – Condor Glacier
In the morning, we’ll cruise through the Cockburn Channel, entering Agostini Sound, where you’ll witness glaciers flowing down from the heart of the Darwin Mountain Range, with some even reaching the sea. We’ll then disembark via Zodiac boats for a walk around a lagoon created by the meltwater of the Aguila Glacier. In the afternoon, we’ll take the Zodiacs once more to get up close to the impressive Condor Glacier. Along the way, we’ll explore the formation of glaciers and their impact on the dramatic landscape of the Fuegian channels.
Day 05Magdalena Island – Punta Arenas - Disembarkation
Today, if weather conditions permit, we’ll disembark at Magdalena Island first thing in the morning, where we’ll have the opportunity to observe a large colony of Magellanic penguins. During September and April, this excursion is replaced with a visit to Marta Island, where we can spot South American sea lions from our Zodiac boats. Afterward, we’ll continue our journey and arrive in Punta Arenas.
