ARRIVE CAIRO
Arrive in the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration and customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met at the exit by our representative and escorted to your hotel. - Day 02
FULL DAY CAIRO PYRAMIDS & GEM MUSEUM WITH LUNCH
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out for a full-day tour exploring Cairo’s most iconic sites. Visit the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the enigmatic Sphinx. Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where an extensive collection of ancient treasures awaits. Lunch is included at a local restaurant during your touring. Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure. (B,L) - Day 03
CAIRO / ASWAN / ABU SIMBEL / ASWAN
Early in the morning, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Abu Simbel via Aswan. Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II and the temple of his beloved Queen Nefertari. After visiting this magnificent site, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay in Aswan. (B) - Day 04
ASWAN / KOM OMBO / EDFU
In the morning, you will visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Isis at Philae. Sail on board a felucca (if time permits), a traditional Egyptian sailboat and view Kitchener’s Island Botanical Garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to your Nile River cruise ship. Accommodation on board will consist of outside cabins with private facilities. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Haroeris. Then, sail to Edfu. Overnight onboard (B,L,D) - Day 05
EDFU / LUXOR
Visit the Temple of Horus, the falcon god. Dating from 237 B.C., it is considered the best-preserved temple in Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail towards Esna, passing through the Esna Lock. In the afternoon, as you sail towards Luxor, take high tea. Overnight onboard (B,L,D) - Day 06
LUXOR
Visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. Tour Karnak and Luxor temples, a century’s old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines, and obelisks. In the evening see an optional sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (at extra cost). Overnight onboard (B,L,D) - Day 07
LUXOR / HURGHADA
Breakfast and disembarkation followed by a transfer to Hurghada via transportation. Spend the rest of the day at leisure (AI) - Day 08
