In captivating Cagliari, a 13th century fortification still surrounds the historic city. Amongst its essential sites are Terrazza Umberto I with splendid views of the Gulf of Angels, San Saturno Basilica and Basilica of Our Lady of Bonaria, patron saint of seafarers. (B) - Day 03

Near Barumini (approx. 39 miles) there are megalithic edifices of the Nuragic period that are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
